Our ski and sail trips take place from middle of February till late of May in the Western part of the county of Finnmark. Each week starts and ends in the small village of Øksfjord.

The areas are situated some 100 km’s + inside the Artic circle.

On board The Goxsheim, our “base camp” sailing ship, we will drop anchor in sheltered bays, natural harbors or dock in small fishing settlements, and access the mountain for the day either directly from the ship’s deck - or a little bit more challenging: By using the dinghy for drop off on the shore. After 5-7 hours you'll be back, and you'll be served the ship’s Soup of the day with white bread. Something to look forward to!

Most of the weeks are booked by guides that charter the ship to bring their own groups. In case you represent a group without a guide, we can help you to get in touch with a qualified guide. If so, to book with us, you must have taken part in down hill off piste skiing before (intermediate level) and your physical condition has to be so that you can manage skinning for 3-5 hours and then going downhill. You'll have to arrange with equipment (randonee or telemark skis, poles, skins, avalanche transceiver etc) yourself.

The duration of a Sail and Ski trip is 8 days/7 nights (Friday-Friday).

As on all of our other trips, our price includes full board (big breakfast, sandwiches, tea or syrup for the days ski trip, soup with baguettes when you have finished the day trip, 2 course dinner, non alcoholic beverages) and lodging (fully prepared small double/twin cabins, towels etc), transfers from the airport to our port, harbor fees, fuel etc. All you need to bring along is suitable clothes and personal toilette requisites. We do not do trips without guides. They are mandatory! Flights, ski equipment and alcohol are not included.
