Gox for anker i Nusfjord

The sun was at it's lowest December 22nd. Now every day is getting 6-7 minutes longer, and at midday we still have that beautiful blue light. January 18th the sun will pop up over the horizon again. Hopefully with lots of white, fresh snow covering the landscape. The Northern Lights and Whale Watching season is over. In 2 months the ski and sail seasons starts. Just can't wait to head for the sun! When the killer whales hunt for herring, considerable amounts of dead and fainted herring floats to the surface. A most wanted object for the seagulls and sea eagles. This time both seem to have missed the catch.A killer whale taking a blow while a seagull heads for another destination. In not too many days the sun will disappear behind the horizon - and stay there for nearly 2 months. Maybe it is an idea to enjoy the last beams as they swipe the landscape? After the humpbacks and killer whales have had their share, there is often plenty of dead and fainted herring floating around. A feeding frenzy for the seagulls! The dorsal fin of a killar whale speeding through the waters outside Tromsø. And the can go fast, really fast, in their hunt for herring. 30 knots?Since we are approaching the start of our Northern Lights and Whale Watching season.......
